Traditional cottage by the sea at Hogs Head , Waterville.
Waterville is a beautiful place and the gateway to the breathtaking Skellig Ring but I alway found that a successful image eluded me for many years. On returning to this location late in October, the wintry storms gave me the perfect conditions to create the type of image I’d wanted. Using a long exposure of 8 seconds, having waiting long after the sun had set, I was able to create a diffused foreground without the sky blowing out and letting the last light falling on the cottage illuminate it perfectly.
